Hi, VatsaDev here, this blog post is about Emoji forest, a project I made a few days ago.
Inspiration
I was inspired by another project on glitch, but I lost the link and then decided to create my own, slightly more complex version. a fun one day endeavor
Emojis used
I used the following Emojis to create the forest, which itself is a 526 emoji sting.
- ๐ณ - Normal tree
- ๐ฟ - Fern
- ๐ - mushroom
- ๐ - snail
- ๐ฒ - pine tree
- ๐ - caterpillar
- โ๏ธ - clover
- ๐ฆ - cardinal
- ๐ฆ - monarch butterfly
Rarity factor
the emojis are arranged in increasing orders of Rarity, with normal tree being the most common, and monarchs the most rare
Emojis by rarity
Emoji | Rarity |
๐ณ | 25% |
๐ฒ | 20% |
โ๏ธ | 17% |
๐ | 10% |
๐ฟ | 10% |
๐ | 5% |
๐ | 5% |
๐ฆ | 5% |
๐ฆ | 3% |
The Canvas Image
the image is generated from the html using HtmltoCanvas, a script which takes html elements, and turns them into a saveable, copyable canvas.
the image forms in a <details>
tag, keeping the UI clean.
turn your forest into an NFT
the link given on page sends you to a opensea create collection page, where you can make your own collection of emoji forests.
how is this Eco-friendly?
Opensea makes lazy NFTs, meaning they only use environment hurting gas only when necessary.
Glitch hosted
Like the project I found, is also hosted on Glitch, embedded below ->
